A native of Dallas, Texas, George Tobolowsky earned his business degree and law degree from Southern Methodist University in the early 70s. A minor in sculpture sparked a long standing relationship with another Texas sculptor, the venerable James Surls. Tobolowsky has sustained an active involvement in the arts, as board member of esteemed organizations including the Meadows School of the Arts at SMU and the Library of Congress. Tobolowsky has been invited to participate in several museum shows and exhibitions over the years and his work is in many public and private collections.The artist lives in Dallas and works in Mountain Springs, Texas..
